Staff Wellbeing Activities
We recognise the importance of staff wellbeing by holding staff wellbeing afternoons each half term. This is an opportunity for staff to relax, switch off from work, build stronger relationships with colleagues and allows them to try something new.
Mrs Draycott does a fantastic job organising a variety of different activities for all staff to enjoy.
Some of the activities include:
- Aromatherapies, facials, reflexology
- Circuit training
- Candle making
- Kayaking
- Art
- Pilates / yoga
- Local walks / trip to the cafe
Here’s some feedback from the staff team about our wellbeing afternoons:
“Staff Wellbeing has given me the opportunity to think about my own health and what is important."
"There is a variety of activities which allows myself to choose depending on how I am feeling that term."
"Thank you for all the effort you put into this it means a lot for me, physically and mentally.”
“The staff wellbeing is a big benefit; it has become a rare commodity when staff have time to engage and socialise within the school day."
"It has improved my rapport with colleagues and this intern creates a stronger more united staff team.”
“Since the introduction of staff wellbeing, there is a more positive atmosphere around school. For me, it has helped to build relationships with staff outside of my area."
"Wellbeing allows us the chance to let off steam and relax and unwind with people who understand the daily stresses and strains of working in our setting.”
"There’s an activity to suit all tastes and needs. I thoroughly enjoy them, particularly the candle making sessions.”
