Clinical Psychologist
Our Clinical Psychologist, Dr Ze’ev Levita has extensive experience in his specialist field and provides support and advice to staff, parents and pupils. He provides training to staff in school and his parent/carer workshops are extremely popular and easily accessible.
Supporting Staff:
Dr Levita provides in-house training to the staff team on a variety of relevant subjects including:
- OCD and Conduct Disorder
- Attachment
- Self-harm
- Challenging behaviour
- LAC and Mental Health
- Emotional Intelligence
If staff have a particular concern about a pupil they can refer the pupil to a Team Around the Child meeting. This meeting is led by the Dr Levita and all key staff who work with the pupil are invited to attend. Dr Levita uses information contained in the pupil’s paperwork and the observations and discussion with key staff to identify any possible strategies or approaches to be used. The SENDCo also attends these meetings, so if additional provision is required this can be put in place without a separate referral to the Pupil Support Panel.
Supporting Parents:
Dr Levita provides support to parents/carers in several ways, through workshops and training sessions and also individual consultations.
The parent/carer workshops delivered by Dr Levita include the following topics:
- Autism
- ADHD
- Attachment
- Self-Harm
- Emotional Regulation
- Trauma
- Resilience
- Child Development Overview
Information about the parent/carer workshops is sent out to parents/carers regularly with details about when they are being held and how to confirm attendance.
